How This All Came About

When we got married, we thought we’d build a website at www.seanandkatlyn.com so that our guests could find out a little bit about our wedding in advance, and also RSVP online (we created a cool auto responder feature that saved us a lot of work responding to the replies).  After the wedding we figured our guests liked it, so why not create a wedding industry website to try to market the same website and RSVP features to others.  Well, that hasn’t gone off real hot (although we’re working on making it easier for anyone to do the same thing we did without having us do it for them) but we did manage to get going along another path with the website at www.skweddingwebsite.com.

Along with the wedding website and RSVP services being marketed on the site, we decided to share a bunch of the resources we gathered while planning our wedding with the visitors of our site.  We’d put together a list of a whole bunch of wedding service providers while planning our wedding, so we put them up on the site to share with others - for free.  Soon enough we had a whole bunch of service providers coming out of the woodwork asking to be posted on our site and our list has grown fairly significantly.  And with the traffic coming to the site, people started asking us for our advice on planning their weddings in Saskatchewan and elsewhere. 

That’s why we decided to start The Made in Sk Wedding Show.  To share our knowledge with others.  We don’t plan on getting married again, so all this stuff we know is useless if we don’t share it.
